bienvenue     Search Engine Optimization (Google, Yahoo, Msn)

Today, most companies are investing more and more money in their web site so as to meet customers' new needs and expectations. Not only is a web site like a business card, but it now takes part in the sales cycle: information, press releases, e-commerce, after-sales service...

That is why an efficient search engine optimization is so important. Web sites need to attract as many visitors as possible and to lead them to make a decision (request, call..).

Having a successful experience in that field with a New York based company, I am available to help companies willing to turn their web site into a sales force.

Customer case study

In 2006, I was in charge of the optimization of the 2 websites of a New York-based company. The two web sites were part of the sales strategy of the company since the e-commerce is growing fast in the USA .

After an analysis, I was able to pinpoint the existing problems and then to figure out the best stategy possible to reach the two following goals:

OBJECTIVE I     Strongly increasing traffic

Search Engines such as Google, Yahoo and Msn may generate a strong traffic provided that a few guidelines are followed: key word positionning (relevance and market size) is of foremost importance, easily crawlable web pages... In a word, a web site must be SEO friendly and has a rich and original content.

Before the optimization (Prior to December 2005)
The traffic amounted to: 850 visitors monthly.

3 months after the start of the optimization (March 2006)
The traffic reached: 4068 visitors monthly.
Consequently, there was an increase in traffic by 467%.

OBJECTIVE II
Sharply improving the conversion rate

A dramatic increase in traffic is not the only sign of a successful Search Engine Optimization. If the content is weak and navigation awkward, net surfers will stay for a few seconds, leave and never come back. In that case, the conversion rate (numbers of visitors that contact the company / total number of visitors) will remain low.

Before the optimization (Prior to December 2005)
The conversion rate amounted to: 0,5% on average.

3 months after the start of the optimization (March 2006)
The conversion rate reached: 3% on average.

CONCLUSION:
In the timeframe of 3 months, the numbers of requests coming from net visitors has increased 22 fold and the turn over has skyrocketed by 450%.
